The Beds Are Complete

So, we've finished the bed tracks! That's right, all the bass guitar and drum parts are recorded, and sounding fine. Fine like those serviettes that are all silky and stuff. Ok, so we've filled an enormous room to the brim with synths, wurlitzers, grand pianos, rhodes', clavs, and even a few rhododendrons, just for-a some 'atmosphere'. So the next few days are going to be for keyboard overdubs. Saturday night we head out to cottage country for a few days of head clearing (beers) and relaxation (relaxing). It's going to be a fine (like serviettes)weekend.

I went for a run last night. I don't do that very often because it often hurts. And not in a good way. I got down to the lake, and realized I had been running downhill for quite some time. So I started heading back to our clubhouse and decided to take a scenic route. There are some really lovely houses in the beaches. As I was quietly running along the lake looking at the enormous houses I realized I was going down a pretty steep hill. Eventually I was at the bottom. Then I had to get back to the top. So then I ran up the hill a little bit. Then I got tired. Then I thought 'What Would Rocky Do?' so I started to sprint, and groan, and sweat. It was great. I got up the hill pretty fast. Then I had a shower and went to bed.

Last week we were the featured band on New Music Canada and this week 'Battle Hymn' is the featured song on VMix.

Quickie Update

Hey.

We're in the studio, I'm at the computer. So far we've tracked four tunes with bass 'n' drums. You and this Terrible Place, The Steady Hand, Her Scientologist, Some Kind of Sign. These are they.

We haven't had much free time, but last night we got a chance to hang out with our buds from Inward Eye, who were enjoying a day off from their tour with Finger Eleven. It was a fine time. Now that we're responsible, hard-working rocksters we left the bar at a respectable 1am, and there is no debauchery to be reported.

So, back to tracking friends. Take care. I have a feeling my blogs will be frequent and short from here on in. Or non-existent. It's all the same, really. Does anyone read these?? No? Yes? I wouldn't know because I've never had a single comment. But I'll just keep writing my thoughts as they come, regardless of my audience or surroundings. Heck, maybe I'll write for another half an hour about how great pulic transit is in Toronto. I like it, it's great that you jump on and off subways, street cars, and buses. Why the hell did Winnipeg get rid of electric streetcars? Hmm? How come? I likes 'em. Let's bring back the steetcar Manitoba. Woop-woodoo!!!

Go sens?
