Hi y'all,
We got back home to Winnipeg tuesday afternoon from our stay in Toronto. It was a wonderful 6 weeks, so wonderful that our bodies are glad it's over. I think we've made a really great album and I can't wait for you all to hear it. Unfortunately you're going to have to wait, it could be a while before we're ready to release it. In the meantime, we'll be hiding away in our practice space to get the songs ready to play for you.
So sit tight, hopefully we'll have some shows booked for July.
David
I was in a tall building last night.
Standing on the balcony of a 49 story hotel (on the 45th floor) allowed me to appreciate how spectacular humans are, and how priviliged we are to live in this era. Sure, there's a pile of shit going on, but there always has, and I for one believe there's a lot less shit than good.
Tall buildings are hard to build. I don't like it when people tell me things are getting worse. Things are getting different, definitely not worse.

"Talk about a good time!"
Yeah, Hocus Pocus, go Hocus Pocus! Dun-dun-dun dun-dund dun.... dun dun.... dun... dun dun.... Michael introduced us to a band called 'Focus'. They had a hit on AM radio called 'Hocus Pocus' (I highly recommend giving it a listen) in the 70's or something, and they're really great. The song will surely be covered by Quinzy, and I expect it to be performed as an encore exclusively. It has a yodel solo, some super wicked-high male falsetto, a flute solo, and a bunch of rockin' guitar and drum solos. Oh, and don't forget the Ozark-ian yodelling in the middle. It'll go nicely with our new found mastery of guitar hero (a video game). AM radio is spectacular.
It's been a while since I last blogged, so here's a little recap of some stuff I've done.

-saw 'The Golden Dogs' play.
That's it.
No, not really. I actually snuck a little trip back home to Winnipeg a couple weeks ago. It was nice to relax and sleep in a room without three other boys.
The last two nights we shot a series of commercials for drunk driving. Not FOR drunk driving, obviously, commercials shot on the topic of drunk driving and how you shouldn't do it. They should be coming out in a few weeks, and we'll be including them in a montage of our recording time in Toronto. They turned out pretty well, I think you'll find them compelling.
Jason and I hung out with our cousin Ily last weekend and went for ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI!!!! Seriously! $14.99 gets you all the nigiri, sashimi, tempura or rolls you could ever want. And it's actually good. It's not garbage sushi. So I ate a lot of that sushi, and felt so good that I went back a few days later. I ate even more this time around. When everything was added up, it would have cost about $175 if it were a la carte. That is good.
All done.
